Black Fused Alumina
The main raw material of black fused alumina is aluminum oxide (AI2O3) with a content of 70% to 80%, containing more impurities such as silicon oxide and titanium oxide, and is a black corundum. It is a new type of environmental protection material.
Black fused alumina is also called low-aluminum corundum, is a gray-black crystal with α-Al2O3 and iron spinel as the main mineral phases, which is obtained by smelting bauxite in an electric arc furnace. It is characterized by a low Al2O3 content, and a certain amount of Fe2O3 (about 10%) exists, so black fused alumina has the characteristics of moderate hardness, high toughness, high temperature resistance and stable thermal performance.

The main uses of black corundum are as follows:
1. Black corundum can be used for free grinding, such as bottom surface polishing of metal parts before electroplating, aluminum products.
2. Black corundum can be used for bicycles, motorcycles, sewing machines, clock parts and so on.
3. Black corundum can be used for polishing lighting, plastic and hardware tools, etc. It is also suitable for sandblasting (rust removal, glass spraying).
4. Black corundum can be used as a processing material to manufacture resin cutting sheets, angle grinding sheets and coated abrasives.
5. Black corundum grain size sand and micro powder are especially suitable for the grinding and polishing of stainless steel workpieces and the manufacture of whetstone and grinding paste.
6. Black corundum section sand is the preferred material for non-slip pavement and storage under coal mine pits.
